Home-Made Creams and Face Packs to Revitalize Your Skin

There’s nothing more satisfying than being able to take something out of your home, put it on your face and have it result in the renewal of your skin, hair, or nails. That’s the idea behind face packs and creams, which are made from essential natural ingredients that can be found just about anywhere in your home – even if you’re not an expert at cooking! The following 10 face packs and creams are easy to make and will provide you with all sorts of benefits for your skin. However, these are best used sparingly, so don’t overdo them!

Fruits That Help Nourish

We’re all told that fruits are good for us. And it’s true! A diet filled with fruit is high in antioxidants and can lower your risk of heart disease, certain cancers, diabetes, obesity, stroke, and many other diseases. To put it simply, the fruit has tons of health benefits. The only problem is that we often forget about fruits because we are so focused on vegetables. But there are some fruits that pack a powerful punch when it comes to skincare. Try incorporating them into your skin-care routine! Here are 10 great options to get you started

Aloe Vera – Best Natural Healer

One of my favorite natural skin care tips is using aloe vera. Not only can you use it on your face, but you can also use it on other parts of your body. Aloe vera is known to fight free radical damage, repair sun damage, relieve itching from bug bites or stings (including poison ivy/oak), reduce acne scars, soothe wrinkles and minimize pore size. It does all of these things by providing essential vitamins for cell growth and boosting collagen production. Plus, aloe helps with inflammation! If you have red skin or any irritation from chemicals or skin conditions like eczema or psoriasis, applying some aloe will help soothe it down.

Tomato – Best for Anti Acne

The best thing about tomatoes is that they can be used in so many ways. You can either make a mask with fresh tomato juice or grind it into a paste. Apply directly on your face, and leave for 10 minutes before rinsing off with water. This will cleanse your skin from within and make your skin more radiant by getting rid of acne.

Neem, Turmeric, Sandalwood Paste

If you want skin that glows like a goddess, look no further than neem, turmeric, and sandalwood. Neem is helpful for getting rid of acne. Turmeric is an anti-inflammatory that can brighten your skin tone over time. And sandalwood has antibacterial properties that help prevent blemishes from forming in the first place. All three are great when mixed with some water as a paste, then applied all over your face (not just on your trouble spots). You can also add a little milk or rosewater if it’s too thick for easy application. The light orange color of all three will fade quickly into clear after about 15 minutes; rinse with warm water if you don’t like seeing yourself with tan skin!

Shea Butter Face Pack

This face pack is perfect for people with oily skin. Mix one tablespoon of shea butter, some honey, and glycerin together to make a smooth paste. Apply it on your face, cover it with a warm towel, leave it for 15 minutes, and wash it off with cold water. Glycerin will help pull out excess oils from your skin. If you want, you can add two tablespoons of plain yogurt instead of glycerin. This will nourish your skin from within (only if you are not allergic to dairy products). Honey works as an antibacterial agent and helps lighten dark spots.

Coconut Oil Facial Mask

Coconut oil does not only have amazing skin moisturizing properties but it also has antibacterial, anti-inflammatory, and antioxidant abilities. Coconut oil is great for treating acne as well as other skin conditions like eczema, dermatitis, and psoriasis. Even if you are using it on a daily basis on your skin, there is nothing wrong with mixing in some extra virgin coconut oil with turmeric or sandalwood powder for a face pack. Here’s how to use it: Apply one tablespoon of coconut oil mixed with 1⁄4 teaspoon of turmeric or sandalwood powder evenly over a clean face and neck. Let it dry for 20 minutes then remove it with cold water followed by your regular moisturizer. Repeat 2-3 times a week for best results!

Oatmeal and Milk Facial Mask

Oatmeal is known for its cooling properties and high moisturizing potential. The lactic acid in milk is a natural AHA, which helps exfoliate dead skin cells while naturally moisturizing your face. Yogurt Facial Mask: This mask is great if you have acne-prone skin, as yogurt is an anti-inflammatory agent that can help calm down pimples. Egg White Facial Mask: Egg white is a good source of protein, especially if you want to keep your hair healthy. Honey and Yogurt Facial Pack: This pack will lighten your skin complexion by giving it a more even tonality. For best results use on a regular basis every week until all discoloration is gone.

Egg White Mask

Egg white makes a great face mask as it is nourishing, moisturizing, and acts as an anti-aging treatment. It also has a peeling effect on your skin, helping you shed away dead cells. Mix an egg white with one teaspoon of yogurt or honey to make a paste. Apply it evenly over your face, avoiding sensitive areas like the eyes. Let it stay for 10 minutes before washing it off with water.

Green Tea & Apple Cider Vinegar Mask

Green tea is a natural antioxidant that helps fight free radicals. The same applies to apple cider vinegar, which has been used for centuries for its cleansing properties. Combine 1 part green tea with 2 parts water in a bowl. Add 3 tablespoons of apple cider vinegar and stir until the mixture is smooth. Apply on the face using a cotton ball and leave it on for 10-15 minutes before rinsing off with warm water; pat your face dry gently after washing off. Can be used once or twice a week as needed.

Honey & Cinnamon Scrub

Honey is a natural humectant, which means it helps keep your skin hydrated. To make a face scrub out of honey, add one teaspoon of ground cinnamon (yes, cinnamon—it’ll help clear up your complexion) to one tablespoon of raw honey. Mix until smooth and apply gently over your skin. Massage for a few minutes then rinses off with warm water. It will leave your skin feeling soft and super hydrated! Try doing it once a week for the best results!
